Wood recently spoke with TV Insider about how the show is honouring her with this Steffy-focused episode. How did it make you feel to learn that Steffy and you will be the main topic of the 9,000th episode?
Jacqueline MacInnes Wood: It’s a wonderful honour, it really is. I was raised on the programme. It was and still is a dependable factor in my life. I once skipped class to watch. With my grandmother, Jacqueline MacInnes Wood discusses Steffy. I would watch. I would visit her house, where we would watch Bold and the Beautiful. This took place in 1997.
I knew I could always return to B&B. It was familar and made me feel good. Now that time has passed, I still identify with “Little Jacqui” who watched with her grandmother. It is a unique honour to be a part of the 9000th episode. I get to work with such great individuals. At the same time, it’s satisfying and tough.
We’ll see recollections from earlier times.
Yes. With Steffy, it will be pleasant to take a trip down memory lane. Real-life members of my family are eager to watch this episode. There will be many wonderful memories. B&B used to feel like a second family to me when I was a viewer, and it still does. Sadly, before I was chosen for the show, my grandmother passed away. But when my mother first met Susan Flannery, formerly Stephanie, it really took her breath away since Susan resembles my [actual] grandma so much. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to being a part of this show. I’ll always have gratitude in my heart. Jacqueline MacInnes Wood discusses Steffy.
Did you get to watch the flashbacks on a monitor while the show was being recorded so you could understand what Steffy was referencing?
Even though our programme moves quickly, we would occasionally discuss certain flashbacks that the show was cutting to in between takes. They requested some photographs of actual babies. I’ll be watching this show among the other viewers.
I was unable to chose just one. She seems to me to be such a complicated figure. Steffy is such a delightful alter ego that I get to use all of my emotions there and with her. Throughout her life, she has experienced various changes, including an opioid addiction [in 2000]. She is courageous, independent, aggressive, and tenacious. Her trauma and the things she’s been through have also left her feeling a little shattered. She did, however, make a conscious effort to never play the victim. She has faced numerous difficulties. Her parents were preparing to remarry last year while lying about it. Ridge (Thorsten Kaye) had broken up with Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang), Jacqueline MacInnes Wood discusses Steffy. thinking she had reported his son Thomas (Matthew Atkinson) and grandson Henry Joseph Samiri to Child Protective Services. Although Steffy’s disclosure of the truth prevented Ridge from remarrying Taylor (Krista Allen), she still made the decision to speak up.
I think it’s fantastic that she did it. That experience changed Steffy forever. In that instant, she moved outside of herself and saw beyond her own requirements and desires. She had to consider the entire family, not just her mother and father reconciling.
B&B just reached 9000 episodes and 36 years of broadcasting. Do you have a special message for the faithful viewers who have stuck with the show for so long?

Jacqueline MacInnes is a Canadian actress who is best known for her role as Dr. Elizabeth Weir in the science fiction television series Stargate Atlantis. She was born on October 14, 1979, in Sarnia, Ontario, Canada. Jacqueline MacInnes Wood discusses Steffy.
